I've enjoyed working with some of the most inspiring professionals and projects, on both international and regional brands, across Consumer and B2B sectors. Ranging from small businesses to multi-million accounts.

Working closely with bilingual designers, public relations and copywriters to complete successful campaigns adds an extra challenge to creative, its very enjoyable and interesting and I have a fond appreciation and knowledge for English/Arabic design gained working in the Middle East.

Candy Souk is a unique confectionary business in Dubai. It’s main service is providing bespoke candy made to order.

As well as the custom made product, some regionally branded rock, and other general sweets are sold at the Candy Souk store.

Candy Souk have three consumer audiences: corporate, public and bridal.

Gulf Greetings General Trading LLC is a holding company based in Dubai, focused on providing people with products that help express their feelings and make their loved ones happy.

The client wished on retaining a butterfly symbol and requested a contemporary feel. I used stylish typography to wake up the word mark and created a unique illustrated butterfly.

Environment Graphics - The United Arab Emirates Football Association is the governing body of football in the United Arab Emirates.

The interior graphics were designed to capture the essence of the organisation, providing the employees and visitors alike an inspiring office space.

Eden Yachting asked me to create branding in support of DOSC Sailability for their yacht.

Sailability is a world wide, not-for profit, volunteer based movement that facilitates sailing for everyone regardless of ability. Dubai Offshore Sailing Club Sailability is committed to giving people with special needs the opportunity to learn to sail.

The yacht graphics derive from the cheerful hues and shapes of the specially adapted access dinghies in use at DOSC.

Advertising - A manufacturer and wholesaler of contemporary, hand-crafted bespoke furniture.

Character Design - Bob the garden gnome is a fun character created for the Garden Furniture Store. He became an integral part of the branding and was later produced in product form as a gift item at the GFS store.

Sports Event Branding - The Al Gharbia Watersports Festival is a 10-day extravaganza for world-class athletes and fun event for the public.

Vibrant colours against black backdrops and energetic typography express the fun and boldness of the watersports enthusiasts providing an instantly recognisable visual language.

Steve Wood is an independent PADI Staff Instructor who lives and works in Dubai, UAE. Steve offers courses in affiliation with Al Boom Diving, the UAE’s leading 5* PADI Scuba Dive Centre.
